DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR

Tour includes a visit to cities on the Great Silk Road – Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara  where there are mausoleums of great Sufis and Islamic saints. There are a lot of Sufi saints and islamic scientists in Uzbekistan in its own time .The most interesting and holy places which Sufi tourists can visit:

TASHKENT – Ensemble of Hazret Imam.  Here you can see the oldest manuscript of Uzbekistan and famous Muslim heritage – Holy Koran Mushaf of Othman which also has the certificate of authenticity from UNESCO.  Sheihantur – highly esteemed mazar (mausoleum) located between the new and the old city of Tashkent. Kukeldash Madrasah, located on the square Chorsu, was built in the 16th century during the reign of the Sheibankhan dynasty. Now it is a college, where the basics of Islam are taught.

SAMARKANDShakhi Zinda Necropolis the buried place of cousin of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w),The mausoleum of Imam Al Bukhariy – the founder of Holy book “Al Jome As Sahih”.

BUKHARASeven Sufi Saints including the mausoleum of Bakhouddin Naqshbandiy  the founder of the Naqshbandi Sufi order.  The whole life of a Sufi is a spiritual self-improvement with the main goal being the perception of the Truth, that is ‘fusion with God’. During its centuries-old history Sufism has become widespread and continues to win more and more new followers worldwide. Web-sites on Sufism have appeared in Internet and they even hold on-line Sufi conferences. This ensures that Sufism becomes public. Nowadays there still exist tens of Sufi orders and schools. The major ones – Chishtiya, Sukhravardiya, Kadiriya, and Naqshbandiya – have the followers in all Islamic countries, including Uzbekistan. The names of the founders of the largest Sufi schools – Najmiddin Kubro, Akhmad Yassavi, At-Termezi, Bahauddin Naqshbandi – became inscribed upon the pages of the world’s history of Moslem philosoph.

Day 1, Fri:  Kuala Lumpur-Tashkent

Meeting at the airport by your guide.

Day 2, Sat: Tashkent-Bukhara

10:00 Starting of city tour of Bukhara Visit:

Abdulazizkhan Madrassah (Which was built in 17th century and still alve),

Kalyan Minaret , Ark Fortress, Ulugbek Madrassah .

Chashma Ayub 8th cent, Ismoil Samoniy 11th cent,

Lyabi Haus Complex with Nodirdevondbegi madrassah.

14:00 Lunch in uzbek restaurant

Visit walking tour of Bukhara for 2 hours near to Old City with numerous of oriental traditional bazaars

- Toqi Zargaron

- Toqi Sarrofon

- Toqi Telpakfurushon and others.

and mosques and madrassahs.

20:00 Dinner in Uzbek restaurant

Day 3, Sun: Bukhara – Gijduvan-Bukhara

 

 07:00-08:00 Breakfast at hotel.

8.30. Starting of the pilgrimage tour of Seven Sufi scholars` burial places of Bukhara:

Visit the tomb of Abduholiq Gijduvaniy (1103-1179) located in the town of Gijduvan (40 km away from Bukhara). Continue to the tomb of the fourth apprentice of Abduholiq Gijduvaniy Khoja Muhammad Orif Ar Revgariy known as Hazrat Khoja Orif Mohitobon (died in 1259). This holy site is located in the district of Shofirkon 50-60 km from the centre of Bukhara. Continue to the burial site of Hodja Mahmud Anjir Fagnaviy (died in 1286). Continue to Mausoleum of Khoja Ali Rometaniy (died in 1310, in some sources in 1321)located in Rometan district. He was the apprentice of Khoja Mahmud Anjir Fagnaviy.

Visit to burial place of Hodja Mukhammad Boboyi Samosiy (1259-1354).

The next holy site is the tomb of Hazreti Said Mir Kulol (1287-1370). The last pilgrimage place is the holiest ensemble of Bukhara, the burial place of Hazrati Bakhouddin Naqshbandi – the founder of Naqshbandiya Order, located in the village of Qasri Orifon.

Day 4, Mon: Bukhara – Samarkand

 

Early breakfast in the hotel.

8:00 Transfer to Samarkand by bus/car.

12:30 Arrival in Samarkand.

13:00 lunch at Uzbek restaurant

Visit:

Visit Imam Ismail Al-Bukhari Memorial Complex. Highly respected scientist of the Islamic world, mukhaddis(collector of sayings of prophet Mokhammed and stories about him) Imam Ismail Al-Bukhari was born in Bukhara in 810 and died in 870 in the village of Khartang and was buried at the same place (Chelak district of the present Samarkand province located 30 km from Samarkand). Since then the burial place has been one of the most sacred sites of worship for Muslims.

Day 5, Tue:  Samarkand-Tashkent

 

08:00 Early breakfast in the hotel.

09:00 Visit:

Saint Daniel Mazar

The mausoleum of Gur Emir, a burial place of Amir Temur and other members of his family.

Registan Square, the heart of Samarkand consisting of Madrassa of Ulugbek, Madrassa Sher Dor and Tillya-Kori Mosque.

Bibi Khanum Mosque, once the biggest mosque in Central Asia, it was erected by order of Tamerlane after his victorious Indian campaign in 1399.

Shakhi Zinda Necropolis, a site of pilgrimage visited since the 11th century and marked by holiness. It consists of about 20 mausoleums of different centuries built between 11th – 19thcenturies.

13:00 lunch at Uzbek restaurant

Visit: Shopping at famous oriental Siyob bazzar.

Transfer by the new high-speed train “Afrosiyob to Tashkent at 17:00.

19:10 Arrival to Tashkent and transfer to hotel.

Day 6, Wed:  Tashkent-Charvak

 

07.00-09.00 Enjoy buffet breakfast at your hotel’s coffee shop.

09.00 Chimgan Mountains and later to CharvakLake – Chimgan is the most popular ski resort of Uzbekistan, located 80 km from Tashkent on slopes of Chimgan Mountains which are the part of Chatkal range of western Tian-Shan.

11.30 Ride on.

14.00 Buffet Lunch at CharvakLake-Lake Charvak is a popular resort in Tashkent region and thousands of holiday makers from all over Uzbekistan and neighbouring countries visit the reservoir.

Enjoy free time at Beautiful CharvakLake.

17.00 Evening return back to your hotel.

Day 7, Thu:  Tashkent-Kuala Lumpur
